The mission of Gold Star Mentors™ is to give guitars and teach children and young adults to play them, so that they may use music as a coping and healing mechanism. Our annual goal is to start this healing process by giving away an estimated 200 guitars and lessons to children and young adults.

This is where you come in – we need your help to fulfill our Mission. A contribution of $250 will assist us in reaching this goal. Your contribution buys a guitar, a portion of the expenses that it takes to bring these children and young adults to a location in close proximity to their home and allows us to provide the instructors that will teach them the basic skills guitar playing. 

Our hope is the guitar and the joy of learning to play will assist recipients in their healing process and provide them with a friend for life as it did for Brett and many other musicians like him of all skill levels.
